got a lot of ip address 0.0.0.0 from command "show cable host access-group"

hi,

i issued command " show cable host access-group" at ubr 10012 and found a lot of cpe with ip address 0.0.0.0. i use the command( clear cable host xxx) to remove 0.0.0.0 entry. But dose anyone know the reason why ? how to remove it more efficiency ?

Hi,

I think it shows you default route address.

But you can do one thing, by using Sniffer you can check out MAC addesss -> IP address.

0.0.0.0 is belongs to source IP address.

Source IP address for the DSG stream. If an asterisk (*) appears as the source IP address, it indicates that the source IP address is 0.0.0.0, which allows any IP address as the source IP address.
