Hello,
How can I find out who is the root bridge of a vlan?
What if "show spanning-tree vlan 1" command is not accessible.Is there any way to find out the root bridge of a vlan?

for IOS switch:
show spanning-tree vlan #
or show spanning-tree root
For set base catos switch:
show spantree
show spantree summary

Not accessible because of restrictions or version of OS?

Ethereal/Wireshark might be able to capture some of the Spanning Tree chatter. Especially if you could plug your laptop/PC with Ethereal/Wireshark directly to a trunk port.
