Hi,
Please see the attached mac-address table of one of my gigabit interfaces of a remote site. I feel something peculiar/wrong with the things happening looking at the output? Can anyone explain me the reason. We don't have much devices connected to this interface.

This is an indication that this switch is connected to another switch via Gi0/2.
If a packet is destined from this switch to, let's say MAC Address 0000.06c7.3beb, it knows to exit the Gi0/2 interface.

Hi
Thanks for your response. But as I said please have a close look at the mac-address table, it seems like someone is sweeping mac-addresses like 0000.0000.0001, 0000.0000.0002 and so on... I've actually truncated the output, the actual mac-address table is too large.
Regards,
Subhash.

Hi. Have you considered the possibility of one of your devices might be infected by a virus, that is sending random MAC Adresses to your switch?
best regards and good luck.
