3550 Problem resetting the configurations - Please help!

I'm trying to integrate a couple of 3550's into our current network and need some help resetting their IP's. The instructions from the Cisco guide are not working, as when I press and hold the "Mode" button, nothing happens.

Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know what might work?

It sounds like the express setup might be disabled in the switch. If express setup is disabled Mode button doesn't work.
