I have a PIX 515 with 7.2 and ADSM 5.2 installed on it.
I want to install 6.3 for testing and to practice upgrading the OS.
Can I do this without hosing the whole darn thing up?
I want to save the existing image and install 6.3.

There is no way you can have 6.x and 7.x on the same PIX, because of the directory structure differences, loading both results in unpredictable behavior.
The only way to bring pix back from 7.x to 6.x platform is to run "downgrade" command
usage :
downgrade image_url

Thanks for the reply,
I figured I would have to downgrade it,
But,
Am I in danger of not being able to get it back to the original image?

Nope,
You can always upgrade it to original image.
