Hi team,

I have two 2960 switches and a 3845 router,

The second switch acts as a backup to first. We are planning to add another 2800 series router for redundancy. We want to use it for redundancy and also use it for loadbalcancing.

We have 5E1 on the primary and plan to put 2 to 3 E1?s on the secondary.

Can any on suggest what technology can I use to achieve the same.

Regards,

Hi,

You can configure HSRP with interface tracking so if all the E1's are down (or the 3845 itself) the traffic will go over to 2800.

Of course the other side where these links are connected must be aware where to send the traffic if the primary links are down.

Hope it helps, rate if does
