Hi,

We want to setup multicast VPN on the service providers MPLS backbone.

Our setup is we have a DC and DR site. Primarily all the remote sites will connect to DC site and in case DC site fails remote sites will connect to DR site.

Requirement is to connect seamlessly from DC to DR with multicast application switchover.

How can we achieve this can there be Multiple RP address for the multicast registration.

The routing between DC and DR by advertising same /24 block of IP address to DC and DR using BGP local preference and making DC site primary over DR site.

For reference attaching the network topology.

For clarification pls speak.

Regards

DB

The multicast cloud consists of one sender Content Engine, an optional backup sender (available in ACNS 5.1 software and later releases) for multicast-to-multicast failover, and at least one receiver Content Engine in a hub-spoke topology. All the Content Engines in one cloud share a unique advertising address, allowing them to communicate multicast session information. Content Engines that are assigned to the multicast cloud must be enabled for multicasting.
