It's simple: A root switch has always all ports in non-blocking mode??
I mind, could be in blocking state a root Bridge Port??

I guess it should be possible.What if we connect two ports of the root bridge using a crossover cable. It should block both the ports.

Nope, it will still bock only one port using the Port ID parameter. The port with the lower ID will be in forwrading state and the other one will get block.
In a well desidged STP network, root ports will never be in blocking state. All the ports on a root bridge as designated ports representing a Lan segement connected to them and are in forwrading state always. Exception is the one mentioned above.

Hi Ladislao,
As Amit has stated in a well designed STP network all the root switch ports are designated, unless there is obviously something done wrong as the case stated above where 2 ports are cross-connected, which should never be a case in real life.
