Hi

Attached are a couple for links for configuring NTP on both the 2960 and the 3560 switch.

Be aware that the 3560 does not have a hardware clock. This means that you can get your 2960's to get the time off your 3560 but your 3560 needs an external time source to get the time.

Hi

If hardware clock was not available switch can not keep current time ?

you mean the switch can not work as a NTP server ?

Hi

It means the 3560 can be used as an NTP server by the 2960 switches.

But because the 3560 has no hardware clock the 3560 cannot be an NTP master. This means that the 3560 must have a reliable time source from some other device. If you can do this then you can then make the 2960 switches clients of the 3560.
