Hi, I have just got hold of:

2501 x 1 ios 12.0

2522 1 1 ios 12.0

2900 x 1 ??

3725 x 1 ios 12.2

3620 x 1 ios 12.0

Could someone please tell me if this would be sufficient for a ccnp lab? what else would I need to include? Also I find getting hold of current ios images a maze so if any one could advise it would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

I have this problem too.

I'm using dynamips and it's fantastic. I can run full feature IOS from the comfort of a single laptop.

Using the dynamips software, I was able to construct a 10 router CCNP lab with frame relay switches, and regular Ethernet switches.

The software is free, and the training is phenominal.

As far as your setup for a lab, it depends on the lab manual you're using. Do you have any lab manuals? Do you have any study books? If not, shoot me an email, and I can help you out.

I'd suggest 4 more routers at least. One for frame relay such as a 2522. Another 3 for the 'pod' routers as is covered in the CCNP books from Cisco Press.

Here is my ccnp/ccie lab just for a heads up.

6x 3640 (core routers)

2x 3620 (for injecting routes, etc)

1x 2522 (frame relay)

1x 2511 (terminal server)

1x 2501 (injecting routes, etc)

2x 3750G-48P

1x 3750G-24P

1x 3550-24P

unfortunately, the 3750 switches arent mine.. yet! ;)

Hope that helps. :)
