Is it right to say that "Local VLANS are designed with 20/80 rule in mind" where 20% (not 80%) of trafic is local in scope.

I have always thought that Local VLANS follows 80/20 rule, where 80% of the trafic stays local.

Please help

I have this problem too.

You are right. Local VLANS follow 80/20 rule where 80% of the trafic stays local. Why should it be otherwise? It does'nt make sense to send local traffic out of your VLAN. Better to contain maximum traffic locally, translating to efficient bandwidth use.
