Hi,
I have a 3524 switch that is connected to corporate network and an acess point (AIR-BR1410A) this AP is connected to another AP (the same model) by wireless and the second AP is connected to a 2950 switch. both switches are VTP lient. the first switch gets all VLAN information by VTP but the second one dose not. the ports those connected to AP's is in trunk mode, 802.1Q. VTP domain and password are same in all switches.
Thank you
Siamak

Hi,
Could u specify the version of IOS in Aironet Root Bridge APs???? What is the natvie vlan being used??? VLAN 1 or something other..... There was IOS caveats were there and the same seems to be resoved in 12.3(2)JA version.
CSCeg12593?Bridges now pass VTP information when the native VLAN on the bridge is not VLAN 1.
Rate if it does,

Hi,
The native vlan is 1. Should I change it to something else?

Siamak,
No, you should be fine with the native vlan. Could you please post the trunk config from the both the switches. Also " Show VTP Status " and " Show VTP counters".

Siamak,
You trunk config and the VTP config looks fine and there is no issues with that.
I did som research on this and came across a bug with is integrated in 12.3.7 series of IOS.
Bug ID is : CSCsc88624
Non-root bridge modifies VTP packets from SNAP format to DIX format. It causes VTP
clients not to update the VLAN database if the wireless bridge is the only link between VTP
server and the VTP clients.
The Fixed for this Bug is in 12.3(8)JA2.
I would suggest you to upgrade the AP's to atleast 12.3(8)JA2 and check if it solves the issue.
HTH,Please rate if it does.
