reload a saved config on 515

Hi, I always save our pix's 515 config before making changes, but just realised I have no idea how I would load a saved version of a good config, I only use the ADSM via a tftp server.

CLI Command

tftp-server inside 172.16.1.1 /pixfirewall/config/test_config

ASDM 5.2 (here is what i would do)

Click tools

Choose Command Line Interface

Choose Multiple Line

Copy paste the above CLI command and make sure you have your TFTP server running and allowed for Read/Write Permission.

write erase (this will remove the startup-config)

copy tftp startup-config (self explanatory)

reload (boot to the newly loaded/backup config)
