IP Communicator Question

We are adding the IP Communicator Software to our standard work baselines.

When implementing customer mandated security policies (local, group, etc...)and restrict various access to Power Users IP Communicator does not function as designed. Does anyone know what IP Communicator is trying to access? My impression was that it received its images and various other files from the call manager? Any assistance anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

I have this problem too.

There's one thing we found out the hard way: if you want to make any change to the audio settings, you'll need administrator privileges.

And since those settings are rather crucial (especially the volume), running IPC as a non administrator is unfortunately not entirely feasible.
