please help me to decide what is best for inter vlan routing-
router 1841 or multi layer swicth catalyst 3750
important-base on speed,and why?

Hi
The 3750 will have dedicated ASIC's for layer 3 switching so that would be the one to go for if you are merely concerned with speed.
Are there any other criteria though ?

THANK you for answering!
speed is the main criteria ,with security
i think i can manage .do you think of other things?

Hi
It really depends. For example a router would run the firewall feature set although if speed rather than security were your number one priority you probably wouldn't be interested in this.
A 3750 can't do NAT whereas an 1841 could.
Just wouldn't want you buying something that didn't meet all your requirements :)

i have 1841 in the wan and 3750 in the lan
if i need nat it is for external networks
and that could do the 1841
i understand what you mean thanks for your concern
