DFM e-mail

HI

I want DFM mail setup. when any event occurs mail to receipnt. i configure do that but no mail go.

mailserver :mail.yahoo.com

but if i click any fault message option and click on trap then mail send to the recepint. so my question is how i setup real time e-mail notifier.

Are you able to reach mail.yahoo.com from your CiscoWorks server? Will mail.yahoo.com relay your mail? I don't think it will. You should be choosing a local SMTP gateway.

sorry i can not able to that. so your suggation i use local smtp server and e-mail address of here ?

The email address doesn't matter as much as the SMTP server. As long as the SMTP server will relay mail for the CiscoWorks server almost any email address will do (this depends on the specific SMTP configuration).

The simplest test would be to use a local SMTP server with a local email address just to make sure things are working.
