i HAVE A CALLMANAGER 5.1 the latest code and the active partition is running at 97% so RTMT is cutting a low disk space warning. Has anyone seen this or know of a fix. I haveused the rtmt to purge the logs but it is still at 97%.

Did you have resolved your problem? I have it too with a ccm 5.1.
Thank you.

No but it looks like all the latest code is the same so I just set the RTMT higher.

Hi Mike,
This is actually normal.
You can probably just have the user change the alert to 3%. It should not rise anymore than that.

Hello gogasca,
can you clarify your statement? Why is this actually normal? Is this an official bug and do you have a bug ID (I am facing the same problem).

Hi Philip
Ok let me clarify this,
"LowActivePartitionAvailableDiskSpace partition has 3 percent of available disk space"
This is quite normal for to CCM 5.x.
All of the variably sized files that have potential to grow should be on the logging disk, which has plenty of free space.
So, the active partition being 94-96% full is no cause for alarm.
Here's the DDTS filed for this:
CSCsc83849
Externally found moderate defect: Resolved (R)
Need to change thresholds for Active and Inactive Partition Low Disk
Release-note
Condition:
The current default thesholds for both Active and Inactive partition low disk space alerts are 90%.
With this fix, the defaults will be 96% in use because it is normal to have
active/inactive disk usage in 90% range after upgrade.
Workaround:
Users just change the thresholds in RTMT AlertCentral.

Last month a co-worker submitted a feature enhancement
CSCsj95433 - "CAR
reports should be written to the common partition".
Since this is a feature enhancement it will be a while before the change is implemented. Therefore, you can track the status of this enhancement through the Cisco.com Bug Toolkit
96%-97% shouldn't be considered something going wrong. The situtation we as seeing, points to a known bug CSCsc83849. The recommendation to resolve this issue is to change the alert threshold in RTMT to be at 2% or 3% so that you stop receiving
unnecessary warnings.
To do this:
Open RTMT > Open the tools tab at the bottom left of the screen, and select
'Alert Central'. Find the "LowActivePartitionAvailableDiskspace' parameter, right-click on it and go to properties. Click next and on the next
screen you can set the threshold to 3%. Click next two more times, then
activate.
Let me know
Thanks
