Hello,
I have a pix501 and want to configure a routing for bloomberg router. But the pix501 does not have enough interface for the configuration. we don't have spare router or layer3 switch. Any suggests?
thanks.

Hi Alex
Pix 501 firewall comes with 2 interfaces inside, outside interface on which you dont have the facility of configuring vlans even..
But do revert back what kinda config or what you are trying to do over here.

for a private connection to bloomberg, all hosts must be able to connect to the following bloomberg subnets:
208.134.161.0/24
205.183.246.0/24
...etc.
how can pix501 configure to route statically to the above prefixes through the ethernet port of the bloomberg access router.

Hi Alex
Can you post a diagram representing the setup and what you exactly want to route ..

Hi Alex
I got your requirement now but since theres no other port available you wont be able to plugin the router directly onto the firewall.
You may need to upgrade the firewall to the next possible version (506E)which can afford or allow you to create logical interfaces...
BTW whats your exact requirement with two links out there ? vpn or internet access ??

bloomberg will use a their own link so that if the Internet goes down, bloomberg still works unless their link is down.
