VG224 - Forwarding Dialled Number

Hi,

I'm trying to put a Fax solution together. What I have is a 2821 Voice Gateway (MGCP) that contains the FAX DDI. I'd like to set this DDI as a CTI_Route Point that then forwards all calls to a group of 4 ports configured on the VG224 (also MGCP). These ports are connected to a Fax Server.

The problem I have is that when the call reaches the Fax Server - the original dialled number is not coming through so the Fax Server doesn't know who the Fax is for. I've looked at various service parameters and settings but can't seem to get this working.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Is following the topology:

Fax--FXS---VG224---mgcp----ccm4.0------mcgp----vg224----FXS---Fax

With above topology following would be the configs on VG224 for using Cisco Fax relay

MGCP:

voice service voip

fax protocol cisco

end

mgcp fax t38 inhibit

no ccm-manager fax protocol cisco

no ccm-manager config

Above is with no ccm-manager config. This would allow GW's to do Cisco Fax relay. I would recommend to disable ccm-manager like above config.

Also can they try Fax Passthrough to see if it works.
