I have run setup and given the ips an address that is consistent with the inside network. I reset but cannot ping the address either from an inside switch or from the asa. What am I doing wrong?

Make sure the subnet mask is also set right. This is where sometime we miss out. If everything is right reset and reconfigure the device once. Try adding a static ARP entry for the ip address of the device. In windiws command to enter a static ARP

arp -s . If nothing works upgrade the software.

Hi,

I have the same situation. HOw did you reslove this issue?

The IP-address on the IPS-module is for management-purpose only, so you need to patch the ethernet interface on the outside of the module to you internal network. Also you need to make sure the IP-address is in the same subnet as the internal network!

Please rate if the post is usefull!

Regards,

Michael
