Does anybody know if there is a maximum number of nodes you can have on a UPSR. Or maybe is there any limitation on the number CTC will support?

I have 6 UPSR's. 3 OC-12 Rings and 3 OC-48 Rings with a total of 29 nodes. My biggest ring is an OC-48 Ring with 9 nodes and I will probably add 2 more nodes to that UPSR here in the near future and was just wondering if there were any limitations? Of course, I already know there is an STS limitation on the OC-48 ring, it was just the number of nodes I am concerned about.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have this problem too.

Here is some of the info you are looking for:

This is number of rings (Path protected)

path protection with SDCC 34

path protection with LDCC 14

path protection with LDCC and SDCC 26

This is just part of the information. Read all of the section on path protected rings (ie UPSR).

Here is a link for ring information:

Hope this helps,
