Can somebody elaborate on the range of cpu clock frequencies of PowerPC405 on the latest catalysts 3750G/3750E?
IBM specs it up to 600MHz. Is it in this range for the latests revisions of the core or is it lower?
Product data sheet lists the memory size but it has nothing regarding CPU

Yes, the frequency in this matter is kind of elusive. Although you can see it on many platforms, just by issuing Show Version.
But on the other hand, Catalyst logic is heavily hardwired in ASICs, and CPU is used for very little of processing. The spec will enable you to estimate how much of debug you can display, not the switch performance.

Depending on what you are doing. I am running eBGP to two peers and I can see that cat 3750G's convergence is very slow. Wandering if 3750-E would do any better. Any experience?
