Hello,

i have a sip trunk to my provider and it isn't working. i did a sniff of the sip invite and after the dialled number i have a trailing %23

e.g

004420756382%23@sip-provider

do you know how i can remove the %23

that seems to be the problem

thanks.

The %23 is the "#" character.

In most situations, the best solution is to fix the originating device so that it does not put the "#" into the dialed string. In some devices, the "#" signals the device to start the call setup instead of waiting for the interdigit timeout.

To fix the problem at the sip trunk, add a voice translation-rule like:

voice translation-rule 1

rule 1 /#$/ //

and attach to the voip dial-peer via "translation-profile"

Excellent !!! you are the best.

Is there a way i can remove this on the call manager instead of doing it on the router (apart from removing the # key)

CM 4.1 has a Route Pattern "Discard Digits" of "Trailing-#"

Not sure which version of CM you are using.
