Dose anyone know if it is possible to use multiple actions in a policy-map when policing?

It is possible to configure but I?m not sure if it works

The configuration:

policy-map FR-POLICE

class class-default

police cir 128000

conform-action transmit

exceed-action set-prec-transmit 3 ! The first exceed action

exceed-action set-frde-transmit ! The second exceed action

interface Serial0/3/0

description To FR-Switch S0/0

ip address 150.50.12.1 255.255.255.0

encapsulation frame-relay

service-policy output FR-POLICE

In this case I want to set the prec and also set the DE bit

hi,

Marking multiple fields in the same packet with CB Policing is called multi-action policing, i think that i've tried this once and it worked out.

HTH,

Mohammed Mahmoud.

I dont think it will work.

When you exceed the police limit, you tell the router to set the Prec value. once this is done there should not be any further lookup

moreover i think in IOS when you mention the exceed-action twice, the later one would replace the one entered before
