Hi, I couldn't able to ping to one of the IP in Branch Office(BO) from HQ. But able to ping from BO's Router and unable to ping from HQ desktop. Found out that the "Passive interface fastethernet x/x" under "Router OSPF XXX" is not added in BO's Router. Is it the problem for not able to reach the device in BO ?? Pls explain.
Passive interface makes the interface not send hellos and hence no adjacency can be formed with that interface.
If the IP address is reachable and proper routing exists, you should be able to ping it.
