my ccna has expired on sep 2006, can any one tell me how to recertify, is it required to pass icnd2 or directly i can write ccnp exams

I have this problem too.

If your CCNA has expired then you cannot just recertiy. You need to pass CCNA from scratch to regain the certificate.

i m sorry for u ....

u need to start again for the ccna.

recertification can be done only b4 the ccna expiry period is over.

so u cant write ccnp without ccna.

but if u really hav the capability n sound knowledge of cisco networking..

then u can try for ccie directly as it doesnt require any ccna or ccnp.

so its up to u to decide n work for that.

now u have to give the exam again.

recertifiation can be done only b4 the expiry date ends.

now, there is a option :

if at all u r capable of trying for ccie, u can do that as for giving ccie u dont need to clear ccna or ccnp.......

now its upto u .....
