If traffic originates in one subnet and the destination is in another subnet, and if the traffic must be forwarded by a router, then there are some things that you could do to prioritize traffic between a pair of hosts. But if the source and the destination are in the same subnet then they will communicate directly and there is not anything that you can do to prioritize that traffic.

Hai thomas,
i dont hav any vlans right now.
i want to connect distribution switch 2950 and core switch 3750.do i hav to give any ip address at the end connecting to 3750 switch?
As the port in 3750 connecting to 2950 is given ip routing,we need to give ip addres.so the link b/w 3750 and 2950 sud b in a single subnet?
thanks in advance
