I need a software to monitor my network devices. I need to monitor the activities on each switch and router. I also need to monitor my UPS and the room temperature. I need to get e-mails when there is an alert or temperature drop.

Please advise.

Thank you

Depends a lot on size and budget.

MRTG is free, but you have to be a bit skilled in PERL to make it do your biddings.

Commercial solution we use is Concord eHealth. It has a straightforward interface to set up all your thresholds and warning procedures, including emails.

I use WhatsUp Gold for monitoring all my network and servers. PRTG is great for bandwidth. Scrutinizer is my NetFlow Analyzer.

Hi there,

I use OpManger. Its free for a limited amounts of nodes and works on windows or linux. There are also some intigrated cisco modules available.
