here are some facts:

- power led OFF

- ACT led OFF

- network led flashing

- Ethernet --> Lan (traigt trough cable) ACT flashing and 2 other ON

(traigt trough cable)

-unable to ping from Lan

- can connect using a laptop from the router

- unable to connect using a console cable

any idea?

I think its fine if you are unable to ping to a PIX's interface when ping is from LAN and to an interface not connected to same LAN. Check the console cable and see if you have given proper settings for console connection. Following link may help you
