Purging vm mesages in Unity 4.0

Unanswered Question
Aug 7th, 2007

We have an issue of users not deleting there messages and the messages are building up in the server. When I get into the Unity Server: Programs>Microsoft Exchange>System Manager>(Server/Unity MS>1st storage group>Mailbox store>Users.

When I am in Subscribers, it will not give me the option to Purge these Mailboxes. Do I need rights? I am the administrator of the machine.

**Also, what is the best practice to deal delete these built up mailboxes.

I have this problem too.

The purge function is used to remove deleted mailboxes that have not yet been purged from the system. This is not used to delete messages. You can either use Mailbox Manager which is built-in to Exchange or Message Store Manager beginning with Unity 3.1(1). Take a look at the following link and the links to these two options.

Hope this helps. If so, please rate the post.
