Hi Sir,
I have a Catalyst 6509-E with Supervisor Engine 32. Its IOS software is as follows:
Major Rel : 12.2SXF
Rel : 12.2(18)SXF6
Platform : CAT6000-SUP32/MSFC2A
Feat. Set : ENTERPRISE SERVICES SSH
Image filename : s3223-entservicesk9_wan-mz.122-18.SXF6.bin
From Feature Navigator, the feature "IP SLAs - ICMP Echo Operation" is supported. But in actual fact, the command is not available, as follows:
Cat6509#conf t
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
Cat6509(config)#ip sl?
slb
Please advise.
Thank you.

ip sla monitor is not supported in 12.2.
You can use the command "rtr responder" instead.

Hi,
I'd like to use IP SLAs ICMP Echo Operation to track an object and attach it to a static route, as follows:
!
ip sla monitor 1
type echo protocol ipIcmpEcho 150.50.1.1
ip sla monitor schedule 1 life forever start-time now
!
track 1 rtr 1 reachability
!
ip route 20.20.20.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.10.2 track 1
!
Since the command is not available on 12.2SXF, I guess the closest workaround is as follows:
!
rtr 1
type echo protocol ipIcmpEcho 150.50.1.1
rtr schedule 1 start-time now life forever
!
Cat6509(config)#track 1 ?
interface Select an interface to track
Unfortunately, I can't complete the configuration because the next command "track 1 rtr 1 reachability" is not available. Do you have further suggestion?
I just wonder why the output of Feature Navigator indicates that IP SLAs is supported in 12.2SXF but in actual fact is not. The tool seems to be wrong.
Thank you.

This command was introduced.
12.3(14)T
This command was replaced by the ip sla monitor responder command.

If you want to run 7600 code on your 6500, you can upgrade to something in the 12.2(33)SRA train.
If you prefer to get an actual 6500 release that supports this, wait 1 month for 12.2(33)SXH to come out. It will support this feature.

12.2(33)SXH --> ip sla not supported
