hi all,

I have a 6509 running SUP1A\MFC2 & Access Switches 3548XL

I am look to enable QoS on specific ports on these switches.

For the 6509

I have a trust setup below on the uplinks

set qos acl ip acl_1 trust-dscp ip 172.x.0.0 0.0.255.255 172.x.0.0 0.0.255.255 dscp-field 46

I have a 10/100 blade. Is it possible to configure these ports as trusted ports?

For the 3548

Which is the better cmd to use

switchport priority extend cos 5 switchport priority extend trust

Is there any further cmd that I need on the 3548 to enable QoS?

Thanks in advance

I think mls qos command is use for Enable QoS for the entire switch. And also enter the tunnel tos command, if present, to set the ToS byte of a packet when it is encapsulated. If the tunnel tos command is not present and you do not enable QoS, the ToS byte of a packet sets the ToS byte of the packet when it is encapsulated. If the tunnel tos command is not present and you enable QoS, the ToS byte of a packet as modified by PFC QoS sets the ToS byte of the packet when it is encapsulated.
