Hello there, my Cisco friends.
I have a 3750 stack consisting of 4x48 Ports (PoE). I use the "port-security" command to handle unauthorized access to my network:
#switchport port-security maximum 2
#switchport port-security violation protect.
And now for my question:
I would like to recieve an email when my port security has been violated. Either dierct from the switch or from my monitoring server that can handle snmp and all this without changing my "port-security violation protect" to "port-security violation shutdown"
Any ideas anybody :-)
Thanx,
Chris

When port security is enabled on a switchport, and violation occurs, a link down trap will be sent out.

Thanks.
Can I differentiate between a controlled link down (when somebody turns off their PC) and a security violation?
