WE HAVE THE FF;
3825
WIC-4B S/T
PVDM2-12DM
OBJECTIVE;
To accept analogue calls from a remote 3825 having 2 analogue lines.
FINDINGS
Cannot establish calls
I found out that PVDM modules only supports e1/t1 modules and not the bri's. But pvdm modules are replacement for the old eos digital modem network modules (NM-6D etc)
in this case, what will be the workaround solution. Will the NM-6d still supported on the new 3800 series router?
thanks

I think PVDM slots accommodate digital-signal-processor (DSP) modules for packet voice processing and Local or long-distance calling with the EVM module-Up to 48 foreign exchange office (FXO) or 32 Basic Rate Interface (BRI) ports can be supported.

Hello,
the PVDM2-xDM works only and exclusively together with PRI Network Modules:
http://cisco.com/en/US/products/ps5854/products_data_sheet0900aecd8050918e.html
The Cisco Digital Modem PVDM Modules operate in conjunction with the following Cisco
Network Modules:
* NM-1CE1T1-PRI (1-Port Channelized E1/T1/ISDN-PRI Network Module)
* NM-2CE1T1-PRI (2-Port Channelized E1/T1/ISDN-PRI Network Module)
So, no matter the BRI modules installed, it will never work with the Digital Modems.
Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!
