1841 Alignment Error

I have Cisco 1841 router and see alignment error. The old IOS was c1841-advsecurityk9-mz.124-11.T2.bin and as per cisco suggestion upgraded to c1841-advsecurityk9-mz.124-15.T1.bin

Still i see alignment error. As Cisco suggestion the alignment errors are due to misaligned reads and writes caused by a software failure and suggests to upgrade to latest IOS.

I have configured IPSec tunnels and not used AIM VPN module.

Any one has suggestion to this problem?

The failure was caused by a software defect.

Refer Cisco Bug Reports for FIX: The IOS "C1841-ADVSECURITYK9-M" has Several Bugs and listed below the BUG ID's for the same. Use the correct IOS in which the BUG has been FIXED in. Pls see below for Details:

I tried to serach the right IOS in which the alignment error is fixed. When i see the bug toolkit Cisco says Right now there is no workaround.

Can you suggest me the right IOS.

You don't have to Search for an IOS specifically which has alignment error is fixed.

See my Previous Post in the "Fixed in" line where i have listed the IOS Version in which the BUG has been fixed.

Below is the Cisco Bugtoolkit output.

Alignment Error/ Traceback @ ipnat_nbss_is_special_packet/ latest SPUD

Symptom:

A Cisco router can experience Alignment Errors related to NAT. This Alignment Errors are related to NBSS.

Workaround

Right now there is no workaround.

As cisco says the status is still open.
