Hi ,
I have a fax machine on an ATA-186 and it has been working fine for over 8 months until last week.
You can call the fax externally using a local or long distance number, but you cannot call the fax on net
through our network, it just rings.
As a fix for now, I have given the fax a different number and created a CTI route point forwarded to the
fax machines real number using the local number.
Since everything looks fine on Callmanger and I can see the number hit the PRI using debug are there
any settings on the fax that could cause this strange issue? Has anyone else seen this?
Thanks,
Mike

I'd place a test phone on the ATA port and see if it actually that ATA that "just rings and rings"
I'm really thinking that it is an overlap in the dialplan, esp. given the fact that it just stopped working after 8 mos. and that changing the number is a successful workaround.
Best of luck!
