I'm considering setting up my lab at home as I'm fortunate to have been given 4 2610s and I bought a 2900 switch. I want to practice the Wan protocols and need to get a DTE/DCE cable. I've seen a cable on ebay however, the Cisco press book says the DCE end is a female connector.
On the routers are 6 female ports each but the DTE/DCE ends on the cables are both male connectors.
Are my right I need DTE/DCE with both ends as male connectors which plugs into the female connectors?
Also, can someone suggest a good place ( I live in the UK) to get an ISDN simulator and AUI transceivers, my routers have no aui ports and so I'm unsure how to connect the switch to the routers do I use the ethernet prots on the routers for this purpose?
A lab configuration on techExams ( http://www.techexams.net/technotes/ccna/lab_hardware.shtml )has the transceivers plugged in please help b4 i go insane your assistance will be very much appreciated.
