Upgrade ASA and ASDM at the same time?

Can you upgrade both the ASA software and the ASDM software at the same time so that only one reload is needed?

TIA

Greg

I have this problem too.

Yes, from the CLI (assuming you're using TFTP here...if not, adjust your copy command)

Just do two "copy tftp: disk0:/" commands; one for the asa802-k8.bin file and the second for the asdm-602.bin file

Then, (again from the CLI), you can:

boot system disk0:/asa802-k8.bin

asdm image disk0:/asdm-602.bin

write mem

reload

And you're all done... that's all I did to upgrade my five firewalls this past week.

you don't need to reload when upgrading any asdm image file, only the OS.
