Router for Multiple IPs

Hello, I am not a routing professional of any sort so please bare with me.

I am looking for a lower cost Cisco router that is capable of routing multiple static WAN IPs to predetermined local IPs (the specific webserver(s) and associated virtual IPs set for a single NIC on each server).

I currently have a 2600 series router with two WIC T1 cards, but I am not ready to utilize the T1 service yet (budget). I am currently using DSL, but I cannot find a WIC-1ADSL card that will fit my small budget. This is why I am looking for a lower cost and maybe even used router that can do what I need.

Is there such an animal?

As far as I know even the basic router models can accomplish your goals. The 800 series with ADSL.

But it depends if you require a modular design or not.

Thank you slidersv for the info. Being a temporary solution, the modular design does not matter.

How can I confirm whether the 800 series will do this type of routing? Are there particular keywords or terms that I should look for in either the datasheet or online?

You should look for Static NAT configuration with Dynamic NAT configuration (overload NAT, or PAT).

I assume you have one subnet of addresses from your ISP.

I am only running 1 webserver with virtual hosting under 1 wan ip from the ISP. Obviously this restricts me to only 1 SSL site. I am about to purchase a large block of static IPs from the ISP as soon as I figure out a router solution.

I am not aware of any such restriction of NAT setup on the 800 series. You will just configure one static NAT statement for every one of your servers, and you would configure overload NAT for your users.

It should work without problems.

I found a WIC1-ADSL for my 2651 as a solution rather than getting an 800 series. Unfortunately, the version IOS in the 2651 does not support the WIC card. Short of paying for support in order to get an upgraded version, I am looking at the 800 series again.

I have DSL, PPPoA (ISP), and the need to route multiple static WAN IPs to the respective LAN IPs.

With these requirements in mind, could anyone recommend one of the 800 series routers on eBay that would work?
