T1 +

We have been using 120% of our T1 connection according to the ISP. What hardware/WIC card upgrade is required to for bandwidth of 3 Mbs? We currently have a 2621 router.

Thanks.

You can add another T1 WIC (adding another T1 line) and bond the 2 T1 interfaces together using the "multi-link interface" (approx. 3Mbs)

May be worth turning on Netflow for traffic analysis. Make sure you're not paying for scavenger traffic!

Ted,

Thanks. Is Netflow a Cisco product?

NetFlow is more of a protocol than it is a product. NetFlow generates statistics about traffic flowing through a router. These statistics can be read on the router where they are generated if you want to. But most often they are exported to some device where they can be collected and analyzed. This device is where there are products involved.

NetFlow was originally developed by Cisco but has become a standard and is supported by a number of vendors. NetFlow is supported on pretty much all of the router platforms (including your 2621) and on some of the switch platforms.

This link will guide you to more information about NetFlow.

It sure is. All Cisco routers can run Netflow, which will export traffic statistics going in/out an interface. There are a bunch of free netflow collectors out there.

Looking at my post I realize that I referenced a link but failed to put the link into the post. Sorry about that. Here is the link:
