Hi there,

The best module to use is determined by what format the presentation is on the NTE. MPLS allows all sorts of circuit types to connect to the cloud. (In the UK, we're typically given frame relay circuits, and usually our ISP presents us with an NTU which has a serial connection - so we use WIC-1T or WIC-2T. But it varies from ISP to ISP)

Across our European sites, we have been presented with RJ45 Ethernet, X.25, G.711 coaxial cable...

You need to ask your service provider what presentation will be on the NTE. You'll then know (or it will be easier to tell) which WIC to order and install.

EDIT: Sorry, just read Part 1 of this thread. There may be an SFP module you could use too; you're not restricted to using WICs. But my original point still stands; without knowing what media you're being presented with at the NTE, you can't decide which module or WIC to buy.

Hope this helps!

Kind regards,

Graeme

To add to the good info given by Graemeporter, for 2 mbps circuit use either VWIC-xMFT-E1 or VWIC2-xMFT-T1/E1. Both types will work, the second one is more recent.

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!
