Unity 4.2(1), AvCsMgr.exe is causing high CPU utilization. We have failover, but only the one that is active has the high utilization. Any thoughts?

Hi -

Are you seeing anything unusual in your application event logs? Port utilization - ports at capacity etc. When does this problem occur? I checked Bug Tool and found this bug CSCse99215 when I searched for 'cpu' within the 4.2 train - http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCse99215&from=summary. Not to say this is the problem. The link does reference additional micro traces you can turn on to verify if this issue is YOUR cause. Also found this hit list searching for 'AvCsMgr' - http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugSummaryResults.do?method=fetchBugSummaryResults&searchType=advanced

If you haven't already, I would check with TAC on this.

Sincerely, Ginger

Thanks for the help. I found that a colision was happening on a vm port. The port is set to only do MWI, but it is recieving calls on this port. I disabled the port and the utiliztion went back to normal. Thank you.
