I have a 7936 Conference phone connectied to CallManager Express 4.0.
When the user places an internal call on the phone, one way audio happens. The user can hear the other party but the other party cannot hear the user. Placing the phone on hold and releasing the hold results in two-way audio.
Calling the phone from an external number or calling an external number results in one-way audio and placing the phone on hold does not resolve the issue.
Any thoughts or ideas?

What FW do you have on the 7936? If not latest, please upgrade.

Did you ever resolve your problem? I have a customer with a similar issue; however, it is CallManager 4.3(1). I do not know if placing the call on hold resolves their issue.
