aim vip

Does anybody know if, using an external AIM VIP card the processing power for encryption is added to the internal builtin hardware accelerator in the case of a 3845 router? Is there a posibility to use two AIM VIP cards for the same platform to increase the encryption power?

For provisioning a link with a full 100 Mbps of traffic (both data and voice) how much theoretical encryption power do you recomend? Is the double sufficient?

Thank you in advance,

Gabriel Popescu

I have this problem too.

I think the AIM VIP card does adds extra processing power to the router. I donot think adding two VIP cards will increase the encryption power and for 100 Mbps of traffic you may consider some high end router model.
