TCP Timeouts on ACE and CSS

Not sure, what happened. This is the question:

The timeout for TCP connection on the ACE is 1 hours. Is this a good value for internet applications? How can I estimate a good one?

There is no default best value here.

ACE can have 4M active connections.

So, if your site receive more than 4M connection every hour, a 1 hour idle timeout is not good.

However, if you have low amount of connections - like 10 connections/hour - but the application has long delay, 1 hour idle timeout might not be enough.

As you can see it all depends.

If you have no issue currently, I would keep the default value.
