Dear All,

In the core switch 4510R the reduntant sup V 10GE shows down in sh module cmd. Also the following error msg in sh redundancy cmd

Peer (slot 2) is not available. It is disabled state.

What is the problem?

Hi Swami,

Did you upgraded the active sup? Is it showing this error from the beginning or after something happen or you changed it is showing you this error?

Also I believe your standby sup is in rommon and is the reason it is not detecting. Can you paste me the output of "sh mod" and "sh redundancy state"?

First claryby which mode are you making redudncy

RPR / SSO ?

SSO is basically for SUP Switch over for layer 2 and RPR for layer 3

so for SSO you need to configure

redundcy

more sso

auto-sync standard

,

I belive you in slot 2 SUP is not properly inserted need to fix it.

Hi Swami,

Give show module and check if the Image is same in both the SUP , i think it is not and since you have configured RPR the standby is disabled .

If you give show redundancy state you will RPR is not the operational mode.
