i know i have been asking alot so summarization questions, im really just having trouble understand where to use the ip summary-address command.

I know that you need to use it on the interface that is advertising the route... but in a big network design below:

where would the command be used?

i think that routers A,B,C they would use the ip summary-address command on the interface that connects them to the outer router...

so A would use it on the interface connecting to D

B would use it on the interface connecting to E

C would use it on the interface connecting to F

would this be correct?

I have this problem too.

Hi,

you are correct, the essence of this is that the routes should be summarized when sent from the distribution layer towards the core layer, the core layer should only have summarized routes.
