MGCP Gateway with T1-CAS for IPCC Express

Does anybody know if this can be done? I am being told that in order to use T1-CAS trunks and have Caller ID show on the phones is to use an H.323 gateway.

Is it possible to configure my 3845 as a MGCP gateway and still provide caller id to my Call Center folks?

Any help would be appreciated.

Also, in some areas T1-CAS doesnt support Caller ID at all (i.e My area - Caribbean. we dont have the FG that supports CLID) we therefore have no choice but to go with ISDN-PRI.

i also think that there are some limitations with MGCP vs H323 (i COULD BE WRONG) with respect to blocking calls, where MGCP does not support it but H323 does.
