Thanks,

Hi Manu,

Sure, this is most possible :) Outside callers can attend the Conference via a DID (Direct-In-Dial) Meet-me number (if configured) or via Transfer in from the main Operator.

Here is some additional info;

Initiating a Meet-Me Conference Bridge

Meet-me conferences require that a range of directory numbers be allocated for exclusive use of the conference. When a meet-me conference is set up, the conference controller chooses a directory number and advertises it to members of the group. The users call the directory number to join the conference. Anyone who calls the directory number while the conference is active joins the conference. (This situation applies only when the maximum number of participants that is specified for that conference type has not been exceeded and when sufficient streams are available on the conference device.)

When you initiate a meet-me conference by pressing Meet-Me on the phone, Cisco CallManager considers you the conference controller. The conference controller provides the directory number for the conference to all attendees, who can then dial that directory number to join the conference. If other participants in a meet-me conference press Meet-Me and the same directory number for the conference bridge, the Cisco CallManager ignores the signals.

The conference controller chooses a directory number from the range that is specified for the conference device. The Cisco CallManager Administrator provides the meet-me conference directory number range to users, so they can access the feature.

Hope this helps!

Our Meet-Me number works internally, from ip to ip phone. When I make a PSTN call to the meet-me number i can hear the phone calling but it never makes the connection.

Is there any step, i'm missing?

I've setup the meet-me number and the conference bridge. Do i need to do something else?

On the other hand If i make a PSTN call to an ip phone and then the ip phone user transfer the call to the meet-me number, everything goes smooth.

But i guess the point of the meet-me number is to be able to call directly from a PSTN call.

Let me know if you guys have the answer.

Thank you,

Zeek

Hi Zeek,

Is this Meet-Me number a DID number like your other DN's? When you have tried this Meet-me number from the PSTN, had the Meet-me conference been setup via an internal IP Phone already?

Let us know,

Rob

Yes, the Meet-Me number is one of our DID numbers, it is only in use for the Meet-Me number though. Yes, i started the meet-me conference through an IP phone before i make the PSTN call.

Thanks

Does the CSS of your Gateway include the Partition where your MeetMe Numbers are in? Maybe you are using some translation pattern that conflict with your MeetMe, do a DNA analysis to be sure.
