First, check your service startup parameters for the DFM Fault History database service. This MUST be Manual. If it is Automatic, set it back to manual, then reboot.

If the service is already Manual, then you may have a corrupt database. If you shutdown dmgtd, you can reinitialize the DFM Fh database with the following command:

NMSROOT\bin\perl NMSROOT\bin\dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=dfmFh dmprefix=FH

By doing this, you will lose the last 30 days of DFM fault history.

The DFM Fault History database service is in MANUAL mode so I have run the reinit the FH db. After that the FHDbMonitor is OK, no more restarts every 20 minutes. The side effect is that I got that problem of all links showing in dotted red on Campus maps.

How to solve this?

Robson

As I said in the previous thread, this is a known bug, and you will need to call the TAC and reference that bug to get the patch. As a workaround, you can always reinitialize your ANI database every time the links go red.
